5k Saturday

Saturday we got up nice and early. Well early for a Saturday at least. Lance decided awhile back that he was going to run in a 5K here in town. It was for a good cause and he'd been wanting to run in one for awhile. I was pretty excited because I had really never been to an event like this. Plus, I wasn't the one running.

Eveyone crowded around the start line. I think I heard them say there was around 192 people that ran the race. I had to take pictures to remember this event but I was getting a dirty look...

Do you see the guy on the clear right in the orange? He finished first!

Soon they were off to run 3.1 miles.

It really wasn't a long wait until people starting to finish. I think the first guy finished around 17 minutes and then people started staggering in. I was pretty excited when I saw Lance!

He did so good! Out of everyone he finished 36th. He finished 8th in his age group out of 16. Once we got home, I made him get his picture taken. He was less than thrilled but let me anyway.
