5k Saturday in Manhattan

This past weekend Lance ran in another 5k with his sister.

I bet your thinking, "a 5k outside in January in Kansas???"... Yes it is true and very crazy. It was COLD...no FREEZING! Lance's mom and I took turns in the car with Lucas. I have to admit that I was pretty lucky to be able to sit in the car instead of waiting outside.

Seriously look at the ice on Lance's face after the race. CRAZY! I told you it was cold! Anyway, they both did really good! Lance got 2nd in his age category and Lindsay got 1st in hers! I'm ready for the warmer weather. I think then I'll look forward to 5k Saturdays a little more.

On another note, a few weekends ago my husband decided to make a fire pit. We went and found these rock in the pasture with Lance's parents and Lance put it together. It basically cost us nothing but time and is pretty cool!
