Toddler Dining

Last night we took Lucas out to eat. I can't remember the last time we ate out and took Lucas with us. This is mostly because we go out to eat on date night. We love date night! It's been great to have some adult time to go eat and do whatever we want.

I had forgot how loud my child is when he eats. Well I don't think that I had forgot...I think I am just immune to it now.  He is constantly signing and saying more more more. I don't give him all his food at once because it just ends up on the floor. He does not have a volume level on his voice yet and I'm guessing it'll be awhile before he does. When he is sick of one thing and wants to move onto the next he starts throwing that thing on the floor. Once I give him something else he will eat it until he is sick of that and then continue the process. This is a terrible habit that we are unsure how to break but we also know that it's his way of telling us what he wants since he can't yet say it.

Eating out with a toddler can just be a lot of work. Especially if you have a toddler that is very determined. I have to admit that sometimes we call him a monster. Not only can he eat like one but he can also act like one. I know every child can but I'm glad we are able to admit this so that can hopefully help him turn into a little gentleman.
