Lance and I were lucky enough to get to go on a cruise this month! It was a great vacation that we got to spend with some of our wonderful friends that live in Texas! I had missed Katy more than I can explain! Plus, Lance and I needed to get away alone for awhile. Although we missed Lucas VERY MUCH, we were able to spend some much needed quality time together. Our cruise stopped at Key West, Freeport, and Nassau. At Key West we walked around and shopped for awhile. Then we found the cool bar that Ben works at. He suggested a great place for us to eat lunch. After lunch we had some yummy frozen key lime pie on a stick. It was a good but fast first stop!
Next stop was Freeport where we went kayaking for a good 2 hours, went on a nature walk, ate lunch and hung out at the beach, and then stopped at Senior Frogs on the way back on the ship. Kayaking was beautiful but we were very good at running into the trees that were surrounding us. I really didn't get any pictures of it because my camera was shoved at the bottom of our protective bag. The beach was also beautiful. The water was so clear and wonderful! I could have spent days there looking for shells and watching my husband play in the sand.
The last stop was Nassau! We spent most of the day playing at the beach and then did a little shopping. Talk about relaxing. Except for the millions of people trying to get you to buy something from them!
We also had a pretty good time on the boat! I was glad that I didn't get sea sick. Although the last day was pretty windy and I don't think any of us felt wonderful that day. We played trivia, bean bag toss, karaoke, went to comedy shows, and spent as much time as we could laying in the sun. I'm so glad we decided to take this trip! What was Lucas up to while we were gone? Stay tuned for a post about his week with the grandparents!
