Saying Goodbye

Isn't it hard to say goodbye? I would have to say the hardest time I've ever had saying goodbye to someone was when Lance worked in Hutch for the summer. I hated when our visits were over and one of us had to leave. I would cry my way back to Manhattan. I would say it seemed like a long summer for that reason but that would be a lie because we were so busy getting ready for the wedding. Aside from those goodbyes, leaving Hereford is going to be the 2nd hardest goodbye for me.

When we drove into Hereford for the first time I remember seeing this sign and telling Lance that I wanted my picture taken by it. Since we are leaving...I finally got that picture.

This town does have it's own smell but it sure has been good to us! Once we met people in the community I was aware of how kind and welcoming everyone is.

Although leaving a town you have grown to love is hard, I think the hardest part about leaving is knowing that there is a good chance we won't be seeing a lot of these people again.

So with all of the sad goodbyes, I'm trying to hold my head up high and welcome the change with a smile. Although that is easier said than done.

The positive side, you're getting closer to "home" and family!
