My first mother's day was wonderful! My husband spoiled me and I love him for that. Although he knows I would have been happy to just get a card. Wait, maybe I shouldn't say that.
Anyway we spent the weekend with family followed by a wonderful lunch at the park on Sunday. Then spent more time with family. I'd have to say that the park was pretty wonderful. Lucas was actually calm for the whole time we were there and mostly sat and played in the dirt/grass. Considering how his mood was the rest of the weekend...it was a nice calm time after the storm.
My mother-in-law taught her son well. I can now fully understand the love a mother has for her son and I am grateful for everything she has taught him. I have to thank her for bringing one of the most important men in my life into this world.
Being a mother for sure isn't the easiest job I have ever had. In fact I'd have to say it's by far the hardest but I do try to love every moment and I'm so very thankful for this little guy.
