Summer Ends

Well it's officially fall, even though it doesn't feel like it. The weather is still blazing hot outside but hopefully it decides to cool off soon. We've had lots of fun playing in the water this summer. Lucas LOVES the water. My mother-in-law told us about how she used to boil water for the kids pool, so it wasn't so cold. We however just fill it up with the hose and throw him in. Haha...Luckily he doesn't care how cold the water is...he still wants to play!

With Lucas' birthday approaching I can't help but think about where we were a year ago. It's crazy how fast things can change. A year ago we lived 500 miles south and were patiently (not really) waiting for Lucas to arrive. We couldn't wait to meet him but at the same time we knew our would was about to change completely. Not only because Lucas would be joining us but because we'd be making a big move.

I think this move has been hard on our family but I am determined that God has a plan. He has to...He always does! Just look at how much my baby has grown! He has become such a little man, right before our eyes! He amazes us daily. He's been walking since right before 11 months. He's constantly laughing or crying (depending on the day) He says mama and dada. He knows who Milo is. He drives his trucks around making sounds. He climbs on the couch, on the coffee table, in my oven drawer, on his shopping cart, and probably other things that I can't think of. These are just simple things that remind me daily that God is good and I'm just so thankful for them!
