Austin's one month birthday has already come and gone. I know, I'm
slow. Let me go ahead and blame it on our dishwasher being broken. The
time I used to have to blog, now seems to be filled with cleaning dishes
and bottles. Plus the fact that I'm still getting used to juggling two
kids but more on that later.
I
can't believe how fast the first month went. It was full of lots of
sleepless nights but many cuddles that always seem to make up for the
lack of sleep. He enjoys sleeping during tummy time as his brother lays
beside him and constantly tells me he is sleeping. He likes to
snack...boo!
It's
really hard not to compare Austin to Lucas. They are very similar in a
lot of ways. Neither of them like their arms being swaddled, they wake
up the same, make a lot of the same faces, and both enjoy their bath.
Their habits as newborns have been pretty similar. Austin maybe a little
more relaxed or that could just be us.
Austin has already endured more toddler love that Lucas ever did at his
age. Poor kid is constantly being poked at, rubbed, talked at really
close to his face, and the list goes on. But with every poke and prod
comes a kiss or a concern of what he is doing. So although some may say
the second child often gets the short end of the stick, I'd say he's
pretty lucky to have a brother that loves (and picks on) him all the
time!
