This weekend we spent a lot of time outside. Saturday we stained the east side of our fence. Let me tell you staining a fence is something that takes time. It also takes patience if you have a puppy that you need to tie up and listen to whine and bark the whole time. We tied him up for a few reasons. For one it is just easier to work with him not bugging us and we can finish faster. Secondly, he can't eat or lick the stain...it could hurt him. Since we were outside working and not doing something that allowed us to give Milo some attention, he was NOT a happy puppy. He was crying, barking, and carrying on. This I know did not make our neighbors happy but by golly we were trying to get this stupid fence done and not harm our dog at the same time. It was during the middle of the day so hopefully no one is planning an attack on us this week for that afternoon.
Sunday we decided to get stuff done around the house. We rearranged our back porch to make it more "puppy friendly", to look nicer, and just so it was simply easier to keep clean. Since Milo did work on the flowers and the tomato's in my pots, we decided to dump out the dirt and try again next year. Milo enjoyed helping with this.
He always tries to drink out of the faucet/eat the faucet when it's on.

He was good at it.
He enjoyed playing in the dirt, getting all muddy, and wet.
Once we were done moving things around we went ahead and washed off the back porch. This is something that is also easier when Milo is tied up. He tries to chew on the hose and chase the water that comes out of the hose. It's fun to watch but makes the project harder. This was the first time we tied him up while doing this and he was surprisingly good. He mostly focused on chewing on his leash. To finish up the day we washed Lance's truck and did our bills. It was a good weekend and I'm sad it went so fast.
