I'm not going to lie...the 4th of July without fireworks is kind of weird. Shooting off fireworks or watching them really used to be the main events of the 4th in my family. We'd also get together with some family or friends but the events normally revolved around the fireworks also.

Although I have to admit that I don't miss Manhattan at this time. People would shoot off fireworks at all hours during this holiday. After reading some people's status and comments on facebook, I realize by having a firework ban this is not an issue in my town. I'm pretty thankful for that because I know Milo would never shut up if we were constantly hearing fireworks.
The good thing about the 4th was that I got to spend lots of time with Lance! We also got to attend an awesome bbq with great food and friends! So even though we were not able to set off fireworks and we did not end up making it to the laser light show, it was a pretty good 4th of July. Hope everyone had a wonderful Independence day!
