Holiday Happenings

Obviously I'm behind but here's the boys at Halloween. Lucas was a K-State football player and Austin was a football. We went trick or treating downtown in our hometown that afternoon. Lucas loved every minute of it and was actually pretty good at saying thank you this year.

This year we had Thanksgiving at Jen's house. Brett cooked a delicious turkey! I was on baking duty. I love to bake and I'm learning that Lucas loves to "help".

He really does think he's helping and he sure makes it more entertaining, along with more work. He can't help it though, I'm a messy baker at heart too!

We did all our normal Christmas activities like ginger bread decorating, looking at lights, and picking out our one ornament for the year. Lucas loved decorating the ginger bread house this year but he loves anything that involves candy, as long as he can sneak some.

I also did a lot of baking. I baked with Karen one morning and Jen came over and decorated cookies with us another day. Plus, I baked with Lucas alone. He loved playing with the dough. I really enjoyed baking this year. It kept me busy and not thinking about the fact that we'd just moved again and are starting over here. To think, the year before I was baking to keep busy because Austin was taking his time to make his appearance.

Christmas was a busy day. We spent some of the morning at home with the boys and then headed to Clay Center. When we got home that evening Lance and I were wore out because we had did the same thing the weekend before for my family Christmas. We are so lucky though. We have so much family to spend time with around the holiday and it was nice to be able to see everyone!

I hope everyone had a great holiday season!
