Peanut Butter Bars/Cups

As you know, Jen and Cody came down for spring break. I wanted to celebrate her birthday while they were here so I made these lovely peanut butter cups because she has always LOVED the peanut butter bars my mom makes. Instead of making the peanut butter bars I wanted to try something new. You see, the bars are just way to easy and I was wanting to try something new.

I remember back when I moved away from home and I was craving these. I called my mom and asked how she made those one peanut butter things with chocolate on top. She gave me the recipe and I couldn't believe how easy it is!

Peanut Butter Cups/Bars

2 sticks of butter melted
1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
3 cups powder sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 package semi sweet chocolate chips

First melt the 2 sticks of butter. I do this in the microwave. Then add the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and graham cracker crumbs. You can either buy the graham crackers already in crumbs or buy regular graham crackers and put them in a food processor. I also normally add more than 1 1/4 cups but do whatever you like! Mix it all together and pour into cup cake pan or a regular 9x13. For the cup cakes I used the foil cup cake liners, I thought they worked great since I wanted to take them out of the wrappers. After that, melt your chocolate chips and pour on top of the peanut butter mixture. Lastly put them in the refrigerator or freezer for awhile so they will harder up and be easier to cup. For the cup cakes, I put them in the freezer until they hardened up and I took the cup cake wrappers off so I could display them all nice like. Then enjoy!

Warning: These are very sweet!! :)
