Wonderful People & Wonderful Places

When we first moved to this new state it was clear that we were definitely not in Kansas anymore. I think it is normal for people to have doubts about change and I have to admit that there were definitely doubts that crossed my mind as we drove into Hereford for the first time but I quickly put them in the back of my mind so we could embrace our new beginning.

We were looking for a place to live and oh boy did we find out how much work it is to move to not only a new place but a new state. While Lance was adjusting to a new job, we were also trying to find a church that was right for us. After searching for awhile, we decided on a church that we wanted to continue to attend. We started meeting some wonderful people that helped start us along our new path.

Once I started working at the church across the street, it suddenly became very clear to me how many awesome people there were in this community that were graciously welcoming us with open arms. Soon I started to think "hey this place isn't half bad". As things continue on, I find myself realizing how incredibly lucky I am. People constantly remind me how generous people can be!

People have let me borrow maternity clothes, others have let me have theirs because they were done with them, and people are even giving us some baby things! I must admit that the list of things we need for the baby is overwhelming but it makes it so much easier when you have friends to give you advice and help you out!

For my birthday my friend, Katy, made baby onion (this week the baby is the size of an onion, we've been calling it whatever fruit or veggie it's the size of) some pretty kick butt things! They are so awesome that I must share them with you all!

The blanket is nice and soft! Plus they are K-State and we all know baby onion will be sporting some KSU! Forgive me because I don't know how to get a really good picture of these types of things but as you can tell baby onion is going to LOVE them!

I am so glad you like them. We can make little Onion lots of cute things! And I feel the same way about Hereford, it truly is a special place!
