Oh baby boy, I must apologize. You see, the other day someone asked me how far along I was and I lied. I lied because I couldn't remember and felt so ashamed for not knowing. I've been so caught up with life that I haven't been reading about what is going on inside my tummy. I didn't even know what kind of fruit or veggie you were the size of.
That all changed today. Today I updated my calendar so I'd always know what week I was. I got online and read all of what I've missed. I now know that you are probably the size of a cauliflower! I have also become very aware of how close my 3rd trimester is sneaking up on me.
My lack of knowledge does not mean we lack excitement about your arrival. No, I wasn't able to tell that sweet old lady at the grocery store truthfully how far along I was, but your daddy and I haven't went a day without talking about you since we found out about you. We lay and watch my belly move in the evening. Daddy is ready for you to be here now but you still have some baking to do and I have some preparing to do. This weekend we plan to get your room looking much more like a baby room and much less like a room full of stuff piled in a room! I'm so excited to tell daddy how to put together your room. Haha :)
Your kicks are becoming stronger and we can now watch you move in my belly. I go back to the doctor next week for the lovely glucose test. With your brother, I swear it was a 3 hour test. I was there most of the morning. They tell me I only do a 1 hour test and if it comes back bad I have to do a 2. I'm sure we'll be doing the 2 hour test.
Lucas is thrilled to meet you. Although I can tell he finds it confusing that a baby is in my tummy. He talks to you or about you all the time. He normally asks if you are coming along when we go somewhere. I always tell you yes, you do not have a choice. We are all patiently awaiting your arrival but take your time and finish baking in there!

You're not alone in loosing track of the weeks! I swear, time goes so fast and when you're preoccupied, the numbers just aren't at the tip of one's tongue! Good luck with the glucose test...at my dr's, you only stay 1 hour if you're diabetic, 3 if you're not. Seemed kinda backwards, but I'm not the doctor :-)
