Lucas Turns 2!

I can't believe my baby is 2! I know, everyone says that but I'm really wondering how it's possible. I had fun planning Lucas' party this year. Pinterest has so many ideas. I found all the decoration ideas off there and we made them ourselves. I made the cake with Karen's help. It was my first cake decorated to look like something so specific. I think he turned out pretty good. Lucas knew who it was at least! Since the party was 7 hours from our house, it was a little different than planning his party last year. However, it turned out to be a great time and we were so glad to see a lot of our friends and family!

Oh Lucas you are such a special little guy. You have a big personallity and always put a smile on our faces. That is, when you aren't throwing one of your big fits but even then sometimes it's hard not to laugh. You love cows, dogs, bikes, boats, and balls. You love talking about tractors but you do not love actually getting in a tractor. In fact, you love watching work trucks and such around the neighborhood but if you ever get the chance to actually get in one, you freak out. One day it will be awesome to you...Just not yet. Your favorite foods are mac and cheese, any kind of fruit you can get your hands on, and anything daddy is eating. This year we discovered you like jalapeno peppers that daddy makes on the grill. I was shocked but not really surprised. You've always liked hot and spicy food, even when you were in my tummy. You love to run, jump, and "ride" your bike. You love to "help" anyone do about anything...especially when it involves being outside. You are talking up a storm. Sometimes we know what you are saying and something we don't. Daddy and I love watching you grow and learn! Happy 2nd birthday little guy!
