The Hubby

Lance had a birthday shortly after Lucas. I've always tried really hard to plan something cool. For one of his birthdays he got to experience riding in a race car. That was probably the coolest birthday gift I've ever got him. For his last birthday before Lucas we lived in Hereford. We didn't really do anything exciting but I got some fun activities for us to do. One thing we did was break a spider man pinata. We let Milo go at it before we did and that was entertaining in itself.

This year we had brisket for supper, followed by cake. Sounds boring but there is hardly a dull moment when Lucas and Milo are around. Sadly I don't have any pictures of Lance blowing out his candles but let me paint you a picture. Lance was holding Lucas on his shoulders as I shoved candles into the shape of 26 in his slice of cake. Well it kind of looked like 26...okay it looked like 26 to me! Then Lucas and I sang happy birthday as I light the candles and finally Lance (and Lucas) proceeded to blow them out. I still should have got a picture...sigh. Even though how we celebrate birthdays have changed, I'm thankful we still get to spend them together!

I've been with Lance since 2006. Wow that sounds weird to say. We dated in high school and I have since then watched him mature into a wonderful husband and then a loving father. We have got to do a lot of fun things together throughout the years but I have to say that this is the best stage yet. I couldn't have asked God for a better partner in life!

Happy belated birthday Lance! We love you!
