This is the first dog that Lance has ever had. I won't ever forget how excited he was on the drive home and Milo's first night. Although I had explained to Lance many times how much work dogs could be, we eventually decided we really wanted a dog. He convinced me that it would be worth it and he sure was right!
I of course explained to Lance that the first night might be a little rough for Milo. I remember whenever we got a new puppy when I was growing up, the puppy would cry and cry for the first few nights. I was convinced Milo would do the same but he proved me wrong. In fact, he never really whined or barked until he was about 6 months old.
I really miss when Milo was this small because he could fit perfectly in my lap.
He still tries to sit in both our laps but it sure doesn't work as well. It's pretty crazy how fast dogs grow. Most days I don't think that Milo knows that he's now a 83lb dog! I'm so glad he still acts like a puppy though! I mean, what fun would it be if he always listened and did everything we said?!
