How To Sew On A Button

Okay people yesterday I attempted to sew a button back on to Lance's shorts. I thread the needle and started to sew it back on. I soon realized that I was doing it wrong. I did not know what I did wrong so I called my sister. The person that was suppose to sew the button back on before she left my house this weekend. I figured since she didn't, she could explain to me what I was doing wrong. After only a few seconds into the conversation, I realized that I forgot to tie a knot on the end...duh! I soon discovered that this knot was going to have to be a big one, in order for it to not go through the button. Later I found out this was the second mistake I made. I was starting to threading the needle through the front instead of the back. Oh my...

By the time Lance got home, I had a big knot but it still wasn't big enough (since I was doing it wrong) because it kept going through the button. Anyway I showed Lance and told him how long I had been working on that. He laughed and took it from me as he proceeded to show me how to make a knot FAST. I instantly felt like an idiot because he did that in seconds when it took me...well...a lot longer than that. He continued to show me exactly how to do it correctly. He finished within five minutes. Thanks honey for showing me up.

So I learned a few things last night:
1. How to sew on a button...the correct way.
2. If you don't know how to do something...google it and there will surely be a "how to" page.
3. My husband is a better housewife than me.
