Recipe: Crispy Onion Chicken

I am always looking for new chicken recipes. I try lots of new recipes and then my husband voices his opinion on if he wants me to make it again or not. Yesterday when I was looking for something to make for dinner I came across this easy recipe over on Life as a lofthouse.

I wasn't sure about the recipe since it has mustard in it and my husband does not normally like any mustard. However, I decided to try it anyway and I'm glad I did! This recipe called for 3 things: chicken, honey mustard, and French's fried onions. YUM. I used a honey dijon mustard made by French's because that's about the only kind of mustard we have in our home. I don't know if that's a 'normal' kind of honey mustard or not. I also used chicken breast tenderloins instead of regular big chicken breasts. Anyway this recipe was so good and super easy! Plus, after dinner my husband informed me that he'd definitely like to have this again. What a win/win! Check out how Holly made this recipe and her great pictures by clicking here! This girl has lots of great recipes along with this one!

Here's the recipe I ended up using:

Crispy Onion Chicken

5 chicken breast tenderloins
1/2 cup French's honey dijon mustard
1 cup or more crushed French's fried onions

Coat the chicken in the honey dijon mustard. Then roll the chicken in the friend onions. Line a cooking sheet with foil and place chicken on the sheet. Mine took about 20 minutes to cook at a 350 degree oven. This was the perfect amount for my husband and I!
