The last few weeks we have had a horrible time keeping the birds off our back porch. Normally they are trying to build a nest by our front door but for some reason they have moved lately. I wish they would go away for good or at least go back to the front. I blame it on the rain really. Well the lack of rain that is. Since we haven't had much, I think they have to try harder to find food and water. This has lead them to our back porch. Milo's food is on the back porch and his water is near it. We've had so many birds all over our porch that it was truly disgusting how much bird poop was all over EVERYTHING. I had no idea how we could keep the birds off so I did what anyone would do...I googled it. I found some stuff about hanging shiny objects. So Lance and I cleaned up the back porch all nice and pretty. Then we headed to the store to see what we could find. We came home with these fancy stars.
We strategically placed them around the back porch and called it good.
Don't make fun of them. IF they get the job done, they can stay as long as they want. The true test of the stars will come this week when we aren't in the back yard. I sure hope they work.
Then there is this wind chime. My grandparents got it for us not long after we moved to Texas. As you can see, the Panhandle wind was not kind to it. The parts have gradually fallen off. Then once they fell off, Milo got a hold of them. Need I explain more? We finally decided it was time it came down.
